Moscow — In a significant diplomatic development, Russia has announced the postponement of the much-anticipated Russian-Arab Summit, which was originally scheduled to take place in Moscow on October 15, 2025. The Kremlin confirmed that the summit , intended to strengthen political, economic, and security ties between Russia and the Arab world , has been delayed due to the ongoing efforts to implement a Gaza ceasefire and manage the rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East.
According to the Kremlin spokesperson, Russian President Vladimir Putin, who was set to host the high-level gathering, made the decision after consulting with several Arab leaders and regional stakeholders. The postponement, officials said, was deemed necessary as many Arab heads of state and foreign ministers are currently preoccupied with urgent diplomatic negotiations aimed at enforcing and maintaining the Israel-Gaza ceasefire agreement, brokered under international mediation.
